Biography

Xianchun Tang earned both his Bachelor of Science and Masters in epidemiology and statistics from Huazhong Agricultural University in Wuhan, China. He earned his Ph.D. from the Institute of Zoology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China, where his thesis focused on the study of coronaviruses harbored by bats. Xianchun joined the laboratory of Dr. Ross in 2007. His current research focuses on the development of vaccines against dengue viruses.
